Ravi River
The source of this river lies near the Rohtang pass. From its origin, it flows to the north-west and drains the area lying between the south-eastern part of Pir Panjal range and the Daula-Dhar Range.
Some distance below Chamba, it turns to the south-west and cuts a gorge in Dhaula-Dhar range, enters the Punjab plain near Madhopur. Before entering Pakistan, it runs almost along the northern boundary of Gurdaspur and Amritsar districts.
It joins the Chenab in Pakistan. Its length is 720 km.
