Prime Factorisation
When a number is expressed as a product of its factors, the number is said to be factorised.
When all the factors are prime numbers, such a factorisation of a number is called a prime factorisation.
For example,
72 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 = 23 × 32
760 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 5 × 19 = 23 × 51 ×191
7623 = 3 × 3 × 7 × 11 × 11 = 32 × 71 × 112
Any natural number, other than 1, can be expressed as a product of powers of prime numbers in a unique manner, apart from the order of occurrence of factors.
